Thrust bearings: features and advantages
Thrust bearings, also called needle roller thrust bearings, are rolling bearings designed to accommodate high axial loads in one direction only. They are characterized by:

• - Rolling elements : cylindrical or tapered rollers that distribute the load over a large surface area, ensuring low wear and a long life.
• - Cages : The cage holds the rollers in place and ensures proper lubrication.
• - Inner and outer rings : the rings are made of special high-strength steels and are heat treated to increase their hardness and wear resistance.

Bearings are subjected to the turning process, which involves inserting the bearing into the lathe and removing the chips. Through the rotational motion of the workpiece and the use of a specific tool to remove the chips, the tool cuts into the material and eliminates the excess, creating the chip.
